Kidswalk is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Childcare Employees to join our dynamic team. Our Childcare Employees play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during various church events, services, and programs. Responsibilities
- Supervise and Monitor Children: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Monitor activities to prevent accidents and manage behavior.
- Engage and Interact: Actively engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational activities that are age-appropriate.
- Setup and Cleanup: Prepare the childcare area before events, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Clean and sanitize toys and play areas before and after use.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing feedback on their child’s time with us. Inform of any incidents or concerns that may arise.
- Safety and Health: Administer first aid as needed and follow health and safety guidelines to ensure all children are well-cared for in a clean environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Kidswalk team and volunteers to plan and implement activities and programs that support our mission and values.
- Professional Development: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in childcare and early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate various events.
- A commitment to creating a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children.
- Must pass a background check.
